SAP Business One 9.0 has many functions to make your daily use easier and more convenient. Out of the box, many keyboard shortcuts / hotkeys are available for users, equivalent to menu commands. Keys like CTRL, ALT and your “F-Key” are used for established functions and navigation. While the CTRL key allows users to access existing functions, ALT is used to navigate the Menu commands.
Find and Add are common keyboard shortcuts that most users are aware of from their initial training. CTRL + F will allow you to enter into search mode inside of any Marketing Document or Master File. CTRL + A allows users to switch to ADD mode to enter a new record.
Specific hotkeys are made available in Sales, Purchasing, Payment Documents, Inventory and Production Documents. In addition, SAP Business One 9.0 allows users to create their own keyboard shortcuts for navigation to a specific screen. In the Tools menu of the menu bar, users can choose My Shortcuts > Customize.
In the Customize window, a user would choose their “F-Key” from the drop down; select the Module they wish to customize in the left pane and the screen where they want to apply it to on the right. Once the combination is selected, users need only click the Allocate button to attach the hotkey to the navigation.
For more information on existing shortcuts, visit the Online Help inside of your SAP Business One system. Go to Help > Documentation > Online Help or ALT + H > ALT > D + ALT + O, or simply press F1.
